Bee Jays Blank Lumberjacks

The Liberal Bee Jays wrapped up their two game series with a 4-0 win over the Rocky Mountain Lumberjacks Tuesday afternoon at Lone Tree High School in suburban Denver.

Liberal scored one in the first, second, sixth, and eighth innings.

The BJ’s out hit the Lumberjacks 12-2.  Dylan Johnson pitched five shutout innings allowing just two hits.  John Kelly and Eric Heiman worked scoreless innings.  Payton Strambler worked two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.  Nate White was 3-4 with three runs.  Jake Schulz was 2-3 with an RBI.  Cayde Ward and Wilson Ehrhardt added two hits a piece.  In the game, Kade Brewer and White tripled and Schulz doubled.

Liberal is 17-3 and hosts the Greeley Gray Monday at 4 for a double header at Brent Gould Field.  The games will air on 1270 and kscbnews.net.  Yancey Crane and Bud Estes are the buyout sponsors.
