Bee Jays Blank Diablos

The Liberal BJ’s blanked the Albuquerque Diablos 8-0 Tuesday night in Albuquerque. Liberal wins six of six against the Diablos, a team Liberal also defeated in last year’s NBC World Series. Tanner Vandevere had another base clearing triple and Zach Reding hit a three run homer in the seventh to put the game out of reach. Brent Cleland pitched four solid innings out of the bullpen as Liberal pieced together their pitching staff to shutout Albuquerque. Liberal is 13-12 and plays Thursday night at Dodge City at 7 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.

Tuesday in the Jayhawk League, Wellington beat El Dorado 8-4 at El Dorado. Hays defeated Dodge City 8-3 at Hays.
