Beaver OK Residents Involved in Fatal Accident

A two vehicle fatality accident occurred Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:17pm in Ellsworth County, 1 mile North of Ellsworth involving two residents of Beaver OK.

A 1999 Kenworth semi being driven by Mariano Ramirez, 26, of Beaver OK was Westbound on K156 when he braked to avoid striking a farm implement which was stopped  on K156 at Ave I waiting to make a left turn. The semi  jackknifed into the Eastbound lanes and struck a 2007 GMC Yukon being driven by  Christina Sanchez, 36, of Great Bend. The Yukon rolled and came to a rest at the east ditch.

Ms. Sanchez died as a result of the accident. Occupants in the Yukon, Alyse Sanchez, 14, Christian Villalovos, 16, Matthew Allison, 16, and Ethan Sanchez, 3, all of Great Bend were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Ramirez and a passenger in his semi, Melissa Recendez, 23, were also taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
