Baker Arts Center To Offer June Children’s Workshops

Preschool- ages 3-5

Budding young actors will pick their favorite nursery rhyme and create a play from it, paint a backdrop, make costumes, and props then perform it at the Wednesday Picnic in the Park at noon on May 18th. Class meets on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday- June 16, 17, 18 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for nonmembers. Class size is limited. Call 624-2810 to enroll. The center is located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal.

K-6th Grade

Young photographers will learn how to make images with a pinhole camera, create photograms by exposing objects directly on photographic paper in the darkroom, and let the sun expose images on the paper by making lumen prints. This class meets on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, June 10, 11, 12 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for nonmembers. Class size is limited.
