Baker Arts Center Offers January Childrens Workshops

Shape Safari

Small Hunters will search through the building at the Baker Arts Center’s January preschool workshop on a Shape Safari finding and recognizing basic geometric shapes. They will take a shape and do an animal drawing from it. Shape sorting puzzles, matching shape pictures, and bean bag toss through basic shapes reinforce the learning experience. This class meets on Wednesdays January 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and is for ages 3-5. The cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for nonmembers.

Ready, Set, Draw

Kindergarten-6th Grade students will get a little perspective at the Baker Arts Center in the January workshop as they learn about one point perspective, vanishing points and horizon lines to create city-scapes and landscape drawings. This class meets on Wednesdays January 6, 13, 20, 27 from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. The cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for nonmembers. Class size limited. The center is located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal and you may call 624-2810 for more information and to enroll.
