Baker Arts Center Announces “Oceans Of Art” Winners

Baker Arts Center is pleased to announce the following prize winners in the Oceans of Art Contest and Exhibit. The Preschool – Kindergarten winner is: Emery Gilmore -K-McKinley Elementary, Liberal-Mrs. Weeast’s class. Honorable Mentions for this age group are: Erica Nielsen & Jennifer Rios K- McDermott Elementary, Liberal, and Madalyn Ermann preschool. The 1st- 3rd grade winner is Pancho Wiebe-3rd grade-Cimarron Elementary, Cimarron-Miss Blattner’s class. Honorable Mentions for this age group are: Valeria Trejo- 2nd grade Southlawn Elementary, Liberal, Angelia Pugh 3rd grade McKinley, Liberal, and Christian Holguin 1st grade Abe Hubert, Garden City. In
4th-6th grade the winner is Rahana Bi-6th grade Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center, Garden City-Michelle Ramirez class. The Honorable Mentions are: Kyler Bennett-Charles O. Stones Intermediate School, Garden City, Ivanee Medrano 5th grade- Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center, Garden City, Kiana Hankins -6th grade – Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center, Garden City. The Middle School winner is Khiley Daris 8th grade-West Middle School, Liberal,-Mr. Knott’s class. Honorable Mentions are: Bailey Sipes, Chantry Williamson, and Jenny Amerin – Stanton County, Johnson. The High School winner is Taylor Watson 11th grade-Sublette High School, Sublette-Jen Dardis class. The Honorable Mentions are: Clare Frazer- 11th grade – Syracuse High School, Syracuse, Carlos Medina 12th grade- Sublette High School, Sublette, and Bere Ayala – 11th grade- Stanton County High School, Johnson. The winner in the adult age group is Kristi Hubbard of Garden City. These wonderful works of art will be on display at the center located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal through May 23rd.
