Accidents in Texas County Send Two to the Hospital

An injury accident occurred on Thursday evening at approximately 9:11 pm on E 24th Street and County Road 26 in Guymon, OK in Texas County.

The accident occurred when a 2008 Honda Element being driven by Roxanne Pearson, 39 of El Paso, TX was eastbound on E 24th Street, stopped at a stop sign, failed to yield from a stop sign, and was struck by a 2020 Freightliner driven by Eric Burnett age 49 of Broken Bow, Nebraska.

Pearson was transported from the scene by Texas County EMS to Texas Memorial Hospital in Guymon, OK. She was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries. Burnett was not injured.

A second accident occurred on Thursday night at 11:58 pm on OK-136 and E0240 Rd, 2 miles South of Guymon, OK in Texas County.

A 2017 Ford Pickup driven by Shevin Todd Schramm, 33 of Gruver, TX, was southbound on SH136 when he departed the roadway to the right went through three culverts, and rolled 2 complete times before
coming to rest on its wheels.

Schramm was transported from the scene by Apollo Flight to Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX. He was admitted in stable condition with head injuries.
