A Scintillating Slaying of the Dragons

KSCB News - September 22, 2011 7:02 am

Seward head coach Bert Luallen called it guts. That was the best way the seventh year SCCC head coach could describe what he saw Wednesday night in the Green House. After losing their first two sets, Seward rallied to beat Hutch 3-2 (19-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-18, 17-15) in the Green House. Seward is 12-2 overall and 5-1 in the Jayhawk West while Hutchinson falls to 6-11 overall and 3-2 in the Jayhawk West. The same thing happened last year, the Saints dug a 2-0 hole and came back to beat Hutch. Liberal’s Ashlyn Westerman started for Hutch. Click on the icon to hear Luallen’s post game interview.
