Daniela Cerda is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior runner Daniela Cerda is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Cerda placed second at El Dorado Saturday in a season best time of 19:56.  She also placed 2nd at meets in Newton and Hugoton.  Last fall, Cerda made  state for the third consecutive season. As a sophomore, Cerda registered a PR at state in 19:45 to take 23rd place in Augusta. She made state track all three years and was all state in the 1600 as a junior. She was also on the WAC Leadership Council last year.  She is involved in track, Lion’s Club, and NHS.  She and the LHS cross country teams run at the WAC Meet Thursday at Great Bend.
