Dodge City Chills Liberal’s WAC Title Hopes

On a cold night at Redskin Field, a big crowd turned out to watch Liberal play Dodge City with a WAC soccer title on the line.  Dodge City beat Liberal 2-0 to win the WAC and split the season series.  The game was scoreless at the half.  The Red Demons scored on a free kick at the 27:45 mark and took a 2-0 lead with 12:55 to play.  Liberal finishes the regular season 11-4-1 and 6-1-1 in the WAC.  Dodge City is 13-3 and finishes 7-1 in the WAC.  Liberal hosts a 6A playoff game on Tuesday at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.
