Lady Red Gangs Up On Goodland

It must have seemed like Liberal had seven players on the floor and one time. The Liberal Lady Redskins forced 33 turnovers on the way to an easy 56-16 win over Goodland in the first round of the Salina Invitational Tournament Thursday afternoon at Salina South High School.

Goodland didn’t score a field goal until the game was 11 minutes old. LHS led 26-7 at halftime after building a 24-2 lead.  Katie Horyna led Liberal with 14. Machia Mullens added 10.

Liberal is 9-1 for the second straight year. Goodland is 1-9. The Lady Skins play Salina SouthFriday at 3 at Kansas Wesleyan with Redskin Pregame at 2:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
