Mary Maxine Ralstin, 98, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away August 26, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Maxine was born June 27, 1918 on the family homestead twelve miles north of Hooker, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel David and Erma Stearman McElroy. She attended school in the area and graduated from Guymon High School.

On February 27, 1937 she was married to Hiram I. Ralstin. They made their home in California where Hiram worked for the Cessna and was later moved to Wichita, Kansas. In 1942 they moved to a farm five miles north of Mouser, Oklahoma and later moved to the McElroy homestead. They farmed and live there until 1991 when they moved into Hooker.

She was a member of the Straight Christian Church and many other clubs like Home Demonstration Club and 4-H.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hiram on November 15, 1998, her son Rex Ralstin, her daughter, Joyce Lile and a grandson Joe Ralstin.

Family members include her son, Ralph and Peggy Ralstin of Hot Springs, Arkansas; seven grand children, Kent Ralstin, Jack Ralstin, Greg Ralstin, Troy Ralstin, Rhonda Ralstin, Lisa Hampsten and Max Lile, Jr.; seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Straight Christian Church with Pastor Tim Britain officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
