Elkhart Re-tools for 2015 Season

Change is in the air at Elkhart. Khris Buckner left Elkhart for Nickerson but ended up as the head coach at Wilburton, Oklahoma. Elkhart’s top player Tanner Burnett left Elkhart to move to the Sooner State. That leaves Elkhart with a new head coach and lots of new faces. The Wildcats have 23 out for football and returns three starters on both sides of the ball. Travis Johnson is the team’s head coach. He has been coaching at Elkhart for 15 years and was the head coach in 2004. Larry Williams will be offensive coordinator. The Wildcats have a recent winning tradition going for them going 7-3 in 2014 with a win over Meade and an 8-2 recored in 2013 after a 5-4 2012.

Some of the key Elkhart players are Sr. WR/RB/DB Cord Whisenand, Sr. OL/DL Logan Meek, Jr. QB/DB Tyler Sklenar, and Jr. RB/LB Shawn Villa.
