LHS Golf Scores Come Down in Great Bend

KSCB News - May 6, 2014 9:16 am

We made the long journey to Great Bend for golf last night. Payton Ruder from Hays took home the top score with a 77. Liberal’s low man was Garrett Poulton with an 85. He was one stroke away from being in the top ten and medaling. He was followed by Blake Stout with an 87, Blake Brenneman with a 91, Caleb Brond with a 96, and Dylan Shellenberger with a 98. As a team, we lost to Great Bend by one stroke, which is always disappointing. Hays took the title as a team.

Overall, we are making more pars and birdies as a team. The in-course out-of-bounds hurt us on several holes, though, so our scores remained consistent with where they’ve been most of the season.

Play continues on Saturday in Ulysses followed by the WAC tournament at Liberal on the 13th.
