Saints Solid Shooting Cans Colby

The Seward County Saints shot 52 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line in a 78-64 win over the Colby Trojans Wednesday night in the Green House. The Saints led 34-28 at halftime. Niem Stevenson led the Saints with 21 and has scored 20 or more 10 times this season. Quentin Purtue scored 16 onf six of seven shooting. Malcolm Hill-Bey scored 15 with five assists. Brian Bridgeforth added 13 points and eight rebounds.

The Saints are 16-8 overall and 6-2 in the Jayhawk West while the Trojans are 9-15 and 0-8. Seward plays at #12 first place Hutchinson Saturday night at 7:30 on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
