Hot Start Lifts Liberal Girls

The Liberal Lady Redskins tasted victory for the first time this season Friday night in the Big House. Liberal hit 7 of 8 three pointers in the first half of a 53-39 win over the Perryton Rangerettes.

The Lady Skins bolted out to a 19-0 lead and led 19-3 after one and took a 31-10 lead into the halftime lockeroom. LHS led 42-25 after three.

Jai Chapman nailed four three pointers and scored 27 points while Megan Beseker had 12 and made three trifectas.

Liberal won despite 28 turnovers. The Lady Skins are 1-4 while the Rangerettes, playing this season without injured Sydney Walton, fall to 3-11.

Liberal hosts Ulysses January 7.
