Lady Saints Make WBCA Academic Honor Roll

KSCB News - August 2, 2013 6:37 am

Not only did the Seward County Lady Saints take care of business on the
court last season, recording their 21st straight 20 win season, they
also took care of business in the classroom and Wednesday they were
rewarded by the WBCA as they were named one of just 14 junior college
teams nationally to make it onto the WBCA Academic Honor Roll.

Head Coach Toby Wynn’s Lady Saints ranked 4th overall with a 3.35 team
GPA. Seward followed just Snow, Northwest Wyoming, and Miles Community
College in the standings. Seward was one of just two KJCCC teams to
make the list.

"The GPAs produced this year by each of the Top 25 teams are quite
remarkable," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. "The coaches of these teams have
done a terrific job encouraging their student-athletes to perform at
their best both on the court and in the classroom. Congratulations to
these 114 programs. I wish them each continued success."
