Redskins More Well Rounded in Kingfisher

After two dual tournaments, the Liberal High School wrestling team ventured to Kingfisher, Oklahoma and came out with a second place finish Friday and Saturday. Only Tonkawa finished higher than the Skins in a 10 team tournament.

Ayodale Braimah won the 145 pound weight division. Liberal’s Cody Smith (132), Corey Campos (138), Trenton Wilson (152), and Dustin Berens (heavyweight) all placed second. Jorge Nunez and Victor Monarrez took fourth while Greg McClurg and Edgar Sandoval took fifth.

The Redskins wrestle at Maize the first weekend in January. The Southwest Classic was cancelled after last season.
