Forgan Forges Ahead

Forgan is known for their basketball and well they should be. The Bulldogs have won two straight “Gold Balls” and proved for two straight years at Tulsa’s Tournament of Champions, they can play with anyone in the state in all classes.

But they know how to play some football too at the Class C school. The Bulldogs have advanced to the semifinals two of the past three years. Last year Forgan slumped to 6-5 during an injury plagued season.

Billy Nichols returns to coaching this season. The former Forgan head coach replaces Doug Bowles who retired after last season. Nichols led the Bulldogs from 1999-2007 which included a state runner up season in 2002. Basketball coach Todd Kerr will also come on board to coach the defense.

He has 15 out for football and eight returning starters combining offense and defense.

Key Bulldogs include senior wr/s Jake Regier; senior og/ng Simon Garza; senior qb/s Dalton Lemieux; sophomore rb/lb Chandler Bryer; senior Evan Walsh; junior g/de Jace Kerr; and junior c/dg Trent Brown.
