Jai Chapman Wins Award

KSCB News - February 4, 2012 7:30 am

Liberal sophomore Jai Chapman was recognized during halftime of Friday’s game against Great Bend. She received the Touching Hearts Through Athletics Award.

The award says "You epitomize an athlete that many admire and appreciate. You show the opponent the utmost respect whether in victory or defeat. Your tenacity is not dependent on the score. On top of your extraordinary sportsmanship, your commitment to academic responsibility has earned you the recognition that you deserve. You have set the standard for others who will follow the pattern you have woven."

Chapman leads a Liberal team going through a tough season. LHS is 2-13 but Chapman scored 10 points per game.
