Isai Gutierrez is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior forward Isai Gutierrez is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Gutierrez has scored 10 goals for the 5-5 Redskins who are 3-2 in the Western Athletic Conference. Isai was a first team all state player last year for a 5A state runner-up Redskin team. He netted 29 goals and dished 15 assists to lead the 16-2-3 Redskins to a state runner-up finish last year.
The Redskins host Hays on a windy Thursday at Redskin Field. The varsity game begins at about 3 p.m.
