A Stormy Afternoon at Throughout Liberal Friday

A strong thunderstorm popped up in Liberal Friday afternoon and caused some damage. A micro-burst with winds in excess of 70mph accompanied this storm. Several limbs were blown down at Harrison Circle and Blue Bonnet Parks. A tree fell on a house in the 300 block of South Western. Another tree fell on a car in the vicinity of 6th and Roosevelt. Vehicles and the Garden Center at Westlake Ace Hardware were damaged as well. The National Weather Service never issued a storm warning for Liberal.
