USD 480 Board Approves District Insurance

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening at East Campus. In new business, the Board approved the Negotiated Agreement and set July 13, 2026, as the organizational meeting for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Board approved the purchase of ELA student books for Seymour Rogers Middle School in the amount of $34,046.67 and approved Teacher Tuition Agreements for Luis Martinez, Tiffani Burrows, and Alaina Hernandez.

Teacher Tuition Amendments were approved for Luis Rios, Erika Ramos, and Diana Chavira, and the 3 year contract proposed by Hay Rice & Associates was approved as presented for the External Audit.

Approved at the meeting was the Workers Compensation insurance for the 26-27 school year in the amount of $157,179 from KASB, and 900 Chromebooks were approved for purchase, as was printer ink.

Software renewals were approved for the following programs with changes in the amounts as listed:

Three Different personnel changes were approved. They are:

Change the Job Title from District Coordinator of Secondary Interims and District Coordinator of Elementary Interims to District Instructional Mentor (2)

Change one of the two Interventionist positions at Cottonwood to the position of Learning Specialist

Change and move the Assistant Activities Coordinator position under District office and renaming the position to Assistant District Communications Coordinator.

A new position was approved by the Board. Approved was a District Teacher Pathway Coordinator .

After an Executive Session, the Board approved the KICS insurance renewal for $652,848.42.
