A 7 year old boy has died in an ATV accident Saturday night near Syracuse.

At approximately 5:05 p.m., Kanon Michael Bowles, was driving east on River Road – about three miles west of Kansas Highway 27 in the Hamilton County, near Syracuse.

The Kansas Highway Patrol report says the ATV began to rotate clockwise on all four tires going broadside. The ATV went off the road, south of River Road, and rotated over the driver’s side; it is not known how many times it did this.

Bowles was thrown from the ATV. He was taken to Hamilton County Hospital, where he later died.
