480 School Board Approves Pay Increase for Teachers and Classified Staff

Brock Kappelmann - September 12, 2017 7:26 am

The USD 480 school board met Monday night and approved a pay increase for teachers and classified staff.  Classified staff consists primarily of custodians, cafeteria workers, and maintenance workers. The pay increase is retroactive for the beginning of the school year.  The teachers receive a pay increase of $1,500 for a 3.7 percent increase while classified staff will receive 50 more cents per hour.  The increase is contingent on approval from the teacher’s union.

The board also voted to buy new projectors for the new east annex to LHS for $42,120 and new computer lab tables for the LHS east annex for $20.090.  That money comes from the bond.

The board voted to accept substantial completion of JE Dunn’s construction of the LHS east annex, the LHS office, Cottonwood, and Sunflower.
