KSCB News - August 10, 2012 3:26 pm

In the 125th House District seat race, Reid Petty holds an 8 vote lead over incumbent Carl Holmes, however that lead is unofficial until the election is certified by the Seward County Clerks Office. Canvassing of the election and qualifying and counting the Provisional Ballots will take place Monday morning at 9:00am in the Seward County Commission Chambers in the Administration Building. Originally there were 68 Provisional Ballots to be considered, but that number has dropped to 48. 20 were already disqualified before the canvassing due to individuals who had switched parties after the deadline or tried to vote without being registered. Those that will be considered include individuals who had a change of address, those who are still registered under their maiden name, and those who forgot their photo id. Those who forgot their photo id have until the time of the canvassing to bring their id into the Clerks Office. KSCB News will have the final results when the become available
