On behalf of Seward County Fire Department we would like to say Thank You to the following for the assistance of staff, equipment, food, donations and support. The event was a large hay and tire fire located in the 14000 block of Road 4 that occurred on Friday July 12^th at 1119 hours – this fire consumed some 5000 plus bales and 20 semi loads of tires valued at greater than $300,000.00 – the last unit cleared scene on Sunday July 14^th at 1453 hours and the scene was released back to the owners – there were still some hot spots that they were going to continue to watch and they would let us know if they needed any further assistance.
