Redskins Boys Runner Up at Regional Meet

The Liberal boys placed second and the LHS girls were third at their 5A regional track and field meet Friday at Friends University.  Here are the boys standings: 1. Bishop Carroll 189  2. Liberal 101  3. Kapaun 95  4. Goddard 68  5. Winfield 38  6. Ark City 21   7. Goddard Eisenhower 17   8. Wichita West 8.

Girls- 1. Bishop Carroll 170  2. Kapaun 125  3. Liberal 78  4. Ark City 68  5.  Goddard Eisenhower 56   6. Winfield 37  7. Goddard 18  8. Wichita West 5

Here are Liberal's state qualifiers.

Boys

110 Hurdles- Trenton Hammond 1st (14.89), Ayodale Braimah 2nd (15.20), and Adebayo Braimah 4th (15.40)

300 Hurdles- Adebayo Braimah 1st (39.00), Trenton Hammond 2nd (40.37), and Ayodale Braimah 3rd (41.10)

Discus- Justin McPhail 1st 159'9"

4x400- 2nd 3:27 Trenton Hammond, Michael Sena, Irving Altamirano, and Adebayo Braimah

4x100- 3rd 44.45 Trenton Hammond, Christian Torres, Michael Sena, and Irving Altamirano

Shot Put- Justin McPhail 3rd

Javelin- Nolan Larkin 3rd 155' and Britton Abbott 4th 148'

4x100- 3rd 52.30 Diamond Ward, McKenzie Wright, Lyric Robinson, and Jai Chapman

4x800- 3rd 10:30 Mercy Perez, Alexandria Chandler, Holly Hinkle, and Destyni Lucero

100- 4th Jai Chapman 12.80

300 Hurdles- Jai Chapman 49.70

State is Friday and Saturday at Wichita State.
