LHS Girls Tennis Takes Second at Ulysses

Brock Kappelmann - September 8, 2017 1:02 pm

The Lady Skins took second place as a team with 17 points. Scott City
edged us out in the last match by one point to win team honors. Colby took
third place with 14 points followed by Ulysses with 11 points. Our girls
battled gusty winds for the first time, but they adjusted nicely with good
footwork.

Individual results:

#1 Singles–Valery Esqueda went 2-1 taking 2nd Place
#2 Singles–Rebecca Irby went 3-0 bringing home a 1st Place medal.
#1 Doubles–Jadyn Williams and Mariyvette Aguilar went 1-2 taking 3rd Place
#2 Doubles–Johaly Portillo and Cynthia Amaro went 2-1 taking 2nd Place.

Liberal travels to Great Bend on Saturday.
