Friday’s Scores: Hugoton Advances to State Title

The Hugoton Eagles advanced to the finals of 4A division 2 Friday night with a 50-44 win over Rock Creek in Emporia. Rock Creek led 14-7 after one and 22-17 at the half. The Eagles outscored Rock Creek 33-22 in the second half. Colby Korf scored 16 and Zack Leininger added 11. The 23-1 Eagles face Wichita Collegiate for the state championship at 6:15 tonight and the Hugoton girls play for third against Girard at noon.
