Dodge City Police Search For Kidnapping Suspect

Dodge City Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a woman.

According to a press release from Dodge City Police, around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a home in the 900 block of Avenue D.

20-year-old Ausbetro Baez-Rivera is alleged to have kidnapped a woman from the home, and when she saw police lights, she was able to free herself and run towards officers.

Baez-Rivera ran from the area and was not found. He is wanted for the alleged crimes of Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon.

Baez-Rivera is described as being 6’3” tall 175 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a 2000 silver Ford Mustang with Kansas plates 794 CLR.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you know where he is, or have seen him, do not approach him and call 911 right away.
