Bee Jays Face Forresters Saturday

The Liberal Bee Jays face a team who has won two of the past four NBC titles. The 33-13 Bee Jays play the 42-9 Santa Barbara Forresters at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. The Bee Jays beat the Forresters 3-2 last year in 14 innings in a game which ended at 2:14 in the morning on August 14 2009. Liberal’s Steven Tucker scored the winning run after an injury at second base. The BJ’s are 2-0 at the NBC World Series after an 8-1 win over the Austin Gold Sox Sunday and a 9-7 win over the San Diego Force Friday. The Forresters won the California Collegiate League and are 2-0 at the NBC with a 9-0 win over the Casa Grande, Arizona Cotton Kings and a 7-2 win over the League City, Texas Hornets 7-2. The game begins Saturday night at 7:30 and will air on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
