Area Athletes and Coaches Compete in Shrine Bowl

Several area athletes and one local coach participate this week in the Kansas Shrine Bowl. The event culminates with the East-West football game Saturday night at 7:05 at Pittsburg. Liberal’s Trenton Hammond and Meade’s Morgan Olvera will participate in the game. Meade’s Scott Moshier is an assistant coach for the West and head coach Steve Martin of Wichita Northwest. Former LHS coach Steve Warner, who is now at Buhler, will also assist the West. The game Saturday night airs on Talkradio 1270 with pre-game coverage at 6:45 and a 7:05 kickoff.
