...WINTRY MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN THURSDAY NIGHT...

.Widespread light snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to develop
late this afternoon and continue into early Friday morning. This
will impact travel across southwest and central Kansas. The precipitation
should begin as a mix of snow or sleet, with minor snow amounts by
early this evening. Precipitation should become predominately sleet
and freezing rain tonight. The most significant ice accumulations
are expected to be toward south central Kansas where up to two
tenths of an inch of ice could occur on untreated roads, sidewalks,
trees and elevated surfaces.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
  of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of
  an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west
  central Kansas. The most significant ice accumulation is
  expected over south central Kansas

* WHEN...From 5 PM CST /4 PM MST/ this afternoon to 9 AM CST /8
  AM MST/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

* WHAT...Precipitation will likely begin as a wintry mix of light
  freezing rain, light sleet, and light snow this morning, then
  change to light freezing rain this afternoon through tonight.
  Total ice accumulations of near one tenth of an inch to fifteen
  hundreths of an inch are expected, with locally higher amounts
  possible.

* WHERE...The central and eastern Oklahoma Panhandle and nearly
  all of the Texas Panhandle.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 6 AM CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible with bridges
  and overpasses seeing the greatest impacts. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the evening commute.
