U.S. Corps Of Engineers To Host Meeting To Discuss Lake Optima

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District will host a public meeting/listening session, Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, to present the conclusions and recommendations of the Optima Lake Initial Appraisal study and receive comments and answer questions from the public about the Initial Appraisal study.

The Initial Appraisal study was done under authority of Section 216 of the Flood Control Act of 1970, as amended, and evaluated the physical and economic conditions at the Optima Lake project looking for significant changes. A copy of the Optima Lake Initial Appraisal report is available for review at the ??Hot Topics ? section of the Tulsa District website address www.swt.usace.army.mil.

The public meeting/listening session will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Texas County Activity Center, Fifth and Sunset Lane, in Guymon, Oklahoma. The public meeting/listening session will be a town hall format with a brief presentation of the Initial Appraisal study results. All stakeholders are invited to attend, ask questions and make comments on the Initial Appraisal. Corps staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the Initial Appraisal.
