KSCB News - June 4, 2018 11:26 am

Crews will begin a mill and overlay project on U.S. 56 at the Morton/Stevens county line and continuing west 8.9 miles on Monday, June 11, weather permitting.

U.S. 56 will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during working hours.  KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down when approaching a work zone and be prepared to stop.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the contractor on this $1 million project which is expected to be completed in July, weather permitting.

For more information on this project, contact Greg Adams, Construction Manager, at (620) 624-4451 or Lisa Knoll, KDOT District 6 Public Affairs Manager, at (620) 765-7080.

You can stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas at www.kandrive.org or by calling 5-1-1.
