Tyrone Man Charged With Molestation

A Tyrone man is out on a $35,000 bond after being charged with three counts of lewd molestation.

As reported in the Guymon Daily Herald,Rusty N. Miller, 28, allegedly committed the crimes on or between May 1, 2009 and July 9, 2009. A felony warrant was issued for Miller’s arrest on July 15 and he was arrested the same day. The incidents involved a minor that was under the age of 13.

Miller allegedly sent electronic messages regarding lewd and lascivious manners to the victim. He also allegedly asked for sexual favors and performed other sexual acts on the victim.

Because Miller is accused of lewd molestation with a minor, specific details about the incident, such as where the alleged incident happened, cannot be released.

Each count is a felony that is punishable by imprisonment for not less than one year to not more than 20 years and fine up to $10,000.

Miller’s next court appearance will be Aug. 24 for his attorney status hearing. A condition of Miller’s bond is that he cannot have any contact with the alleged victim.
