Two Liberal Bee Jays are named NBC All Americans after making it on the NBC’s all tournament team. First baseman Steven Tucker of Lamar University and outfielder Justin Gordey from Louisiana Tech make the list after the BJ’s went 5-2 and placed third at the NBC World Series. Tucker was 10-21 at the NBC with a double and four RBI’s. He had two stolen bases. The second year Bee Jay from Grand Prairie, Texas hit .313 with a homer and 32 RBI’s this summer.
Gordey led the Bee Jays in tournament play with eight RBI’s. He was 11-28 with four stolen bases in Wichita. The Bossier City, Louisiana native hit .374 with two homers and 33 RBI’s.
