Texas County Juvenile Injured in ATV Accident

An injury accident occurred Monday afternoon at approximately 12:37pm on a private lease road, 3/10th of a mile east of County Road 207, approximately 3 miles east and 1.5 miles south of Guymon,OK, in Texas County.

A Kawasaki 4-Wheeler driven by a Juvenile (name withheld), male, age 9, of Guymon, OK, was traveling westbound on a private lease road, when he, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, lost control due to lack of experience on an ATV. The ATV then struck a fence post going into a barbwire fence causing numerous lacerations.

The juvenile was transported by Texas County EMS to the Guymon Airport, where he was then flown to Northwest Hospital in Amarillo,Texas.

He was admitted in stable condition with head and neck injuries.
