SWMC Welcomes New Administrators

Southwest Medical Center announced changes this month in the hospital’s Administrative team.

                  Mark Cowan, RRT, RPSGT, RST, CPM, has transitioned into a new position as Vice-President of Ancillary Services at SWMC. Cowan formerly served as VP of Clinic/Hospitalist Operations and Business Development. He began employment at Southwest Medical Center more than 27 years ago, starting as a respiratory therapy student in October 1991. Cowan brings experience in implementing and directing several successful clinical support services, as well as launching new provider clinics during his time at SWMC. He graduated from Seward County Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Respiratory Care, and from the Kansas University Certified Public Manager program. Cowan has earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in health care administration from Tabor College. He will be pursuing his Masters in Business Administration in August. Mark and his wife of 29 years, Melissa, have been a part of the Liberal community since 1991.

                  Keeley Moree has joined the administrative team as Assistant Vice-President of Practice Management at SWMC. Moree most recently served as Director of Marketing and Business Development during her 6 years at SWMC. Moree brings experience in developing community health partnerships and facilitating business development for SWMC and its six care centers. She served as lead director for the Community Health Fair from 2013-2018. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, with a minor in Leadership Studies. Moree is a graduate of the Kansas Hospital Association’s Leadership Institute. She is earning her Masters in Business Administration with a Healthcare Administration focus from West Texas A&M University, with an expected completion date in May 2020. Keeley is a lifelong resident of Liberal and has been married to her husband, Kyle, since 2011. Moree will serve as Interim Director of Marketing while a search for her prior position is performed.

Cowan and Moree join the administrative team of President and CEO, Bill Ermann; Vice-President of Patient Care, Robin Allaman, BSN; and Vice-President of Finance, Amber Williams.
