Suspect Arrested in National Beef Fire

On Sunday, April 18th at approximately 12:44am, the Liberal Police department and the Liberal Fire Department responded to National Beef for a report of a fire.

Upon arrival, the Liberal Fire department was able to control the fire. Later on, after reviewing surveillance footage, an 18 year old male was observed in the area prior to the 911 call. Investigating officers were able to determine the the 18 year old male intentionally started the fire.

The suspect was arrested and placed in the Seward County Jail charged with aggravated arson.
