Studs Shut Out BJ’s

The Liberal Bee Jays are now 5-1 at the NBC World Series and will play in the semifinals Thursday. The Seattle Studs held down the BJ’s 5-0 Wednesday night in the “Sweet 6” of the NBC World Series at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita. The Bee Jays face the Denver Cougars Thursday at 6 p.m in the semifinals of the NBC. The Bee Jays had just six hits in the game. Seattle 27 year old lefty and former pro Josh Berry pitched seven innings for the Studs (50-6).

The Studs scored two in the third on three hits and two BJ errors before scoring three in the fifth on four hits. Liberal had two more errors making seven in the last two games for Liberal.

The Studs play at 8:30 p.m against the winner of the late night game between Haysville and Santa Barbara.
