State Send Off for Speech and Drama

The regular Speech & Drama season is over and the LHS team had a great showing. They had 32 competitors, went to 11 tournaments, and had 176 entries with 81 of them making it to the final rounds and 30 of those qualifying for State Champs (1st or 2nd place at the tournament). The team won two third-place trophies, and one second-place trophy, and got second place at the National Qualifying tournament. They will leave for State Champs in Overland Park on May 5th with 15 entries. They also had 4 entries (6 students) qualify for nationals in Louisville, KY on May 27. There will be a State Sendoff on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7 PM in the Black Box Theater at LHS East Campus. The community is encouraged to come to cheer on the state qualifiers!
