Southwestern Heights Announces 2022 Valedictorians and Salutatorians

Southwestern Heights wishes to announce the valedictorians and salutatorians of the graduating class of 2022.
Ryan Kisner, Principal, has announced two valedictorians for this graduating class. These two deserving students are Audrey Ball, daughter of Emery and Laura Ball, and Sydnie Underwood, daughter of Josh and Crystal Underwood. Class salutatorians are Denise Corral, daughter of Omar Corral and Blanca Aguirre and Diana Hernandez, daughter of Roque and Maria Hernandez. These selections are based on the students’ cumulative grade point averages throughout high school.
Audrey has been involved in National Honor Society, Cheer, Golf, Scholars Bowl, Choir, Mustang Singers, FCCLA, Student Council, and Band. She has also been Class President her freshman, junior, and senior years. She plans to attend Fort Hays State University and major in English.
Sydnie has been involved in National Honor Society, where she serves as Vice-President, Scholars Bowl, FCCLA, Band, and class officer for junior and senior years. She plans to attend the University of Kansas and is a Pre-Med major.
Denise has been involved in National Honor Society, Mustang Media, Cross Country, and Track. She plans to attend Seward County Community College and major in Computer Information Systems.
Diana has been involved in National Honor Society, Track, Volleyball, Basketball, KAYS, Forensics, Football manager, and FCCLA. She plans to attend the University of Kansas and major in Exercise Science.
All of these students have worked hard over the past 4 years to maintain high grades and also be involved in extra-curricular activities.
Southwestern Heights congratulates these students for their achievements and wishes them well in their future endeavors. Graduation will be on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Southwestern Heights High School.
