Small Businesses Eligible for $5,000 Grants

Small businesses in the community have a chance to help themselves.  The United State Chamber of Commerce Foundation is offering five thousand dollar grants to businesses.  Your business must hire between 3-20 employees to be considered a “small business” for this  grant.  Additionally, there is a short  application.  Information about this grant was shared by the Liberal Area Chamber of Commerce.  Applications for the grant open at 2 p.m. on April 20.  As was discovered with programs like EIDL and PPP, which ran out of funds this week, even large scale programs like this often fall short of the need.  For more information, search the Covid 19 Business Resources at the Seward County Development Corporation’s website www.swks.org.
