Shots Fired on GCCC Campus

GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – Garden City police are investigating shots fired in the Garden City Community College Residential Life Parking lot.

It happened at 801 Campus Drive around 11 p.m. Monday. A caller advised several rounds were discharged in the parking lot from a vehicle, and the vehicle fled the scene westbound on Spruce Street.

Police said the investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between several people in the parking lot. During the altercation, a gun was brandished from a vehicle, and shots were fired. There were no injuries.

The Garden City Police Department is requesting assistance from the community.
