Seward Sweeps Lamar

Seward won two softball games at Lamar Monday afternoon 13-5 and 7-4 in eight innings. Seward is 32-7.

In game one, Seward led 6-5 before exploding for a seven run fifth. Marissa Chavez and Carmen Hughes both hit home runs in the win. Chavez was 3-4 with three RBI’s while Felisha Vogelaar and and Andrea Sitter added three hits a piece. Seward out-hit Lamar 17-5.

The Lady Saints rallied to win the second game trailing the Antelopes 3-1 into the sixth when they scored a run and added another run in the seventh to tie the game. Seward put up a four spot in the eighth to win in extra innings. Andrea Sitter hit a homer and Chavez was 3-4 and 6-8 for the day.

Seward plays at Butler Wednesday.
