Seward County Firefighters Respond To Explosion

The Seward County Fire Department was called out on Wednesday evening on the reports of an explosion. The call came in at 9:09pm reporting an explosion in the 24000 block of Road 26. Upon first units arrival, firefighters discovered a small gas leak on an oilfield location that ignited with no sustained fire. Damage was minimal. Seward County responded with 2 pumper tricks, 3 brush rigs, 2 command vehicles, and 10 firefighters. All units were back in service by 10:48pm.
