Seward County Firefighters Respond To A Grass Fire

The Seward County Fire Department was dispatched on Wednesday evening at 10:33pm to a reported grass fire in the 15000 Block of Denoon Road. The fire was reportedly moving toward residential structures. Upon arrival, firefighters found a trash fire that had been started by someone cutting metal to be hauled off. The fire was contained to the area of origin with no other damage to property or injuries reported. The Seward County Fire Department responded with 4 brush trucks, 1 pumpers, 2 command vehicles and 12 firefighters, and was back in service at 12:39am.
