Seward County Fire Quickly Knocks Down Structure Fire

At 8:22am on Tuesday Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Road G and Road 16. Units arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a basement of an unoccupied structure. Quick knock down kept the fire contained to one room. The fire department was assisted by Seward County Sheriff’s Office. No injuries were reported, the fire is currently being investigated as suspicious. No damage value was available at press time. The department responded with 5 firefighters, 3 engines, 2 water tenders and 2 chief officers.
